Avocados by Mail is the very definition of “test a hypothesis.” If you’re familiar with the idea of a Minimum Viable Product, you may appreciate the upgraded version: Minimum Lovable Product. MVPs typically get the job done, but end up being so utilitarian that they give nothing for the consumer to remark upon, other than the utility. Sometimes that’s all that matters, but more often a customer needs an experience that gives them a little extra, something to love about the encounter, if they are going to share it with the world.
